Tsampa

Roasted barley flour used in many tibetian recipes

Ingredients

  • Hulled barley

Instructions

  1. Wash hulled barley with water and later with hot water.
  2. Allow barley to dry.
  3. Dry roast barley till it is puffed. This is called Yoe. Yoe can be eaten raw as snack.
  4. Grind Yoe to obtain Tsampa flour. Store Tsampa in airtight container.
