Sajjige
Breakfast made from savoury semolina
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1 cup Rava / Semolina
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon urad dal
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 piece ginger, inch long
- 1 Curry leaves
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- cashewnuts, as desired
- sugar, as per taste
- Salt, as per taste
Instructions
- Roast rava with ghee till slightly golden. Keep aside.
- Heat oil. Fry mustard seeds, curry leaves, urad dal, chillies, ginger, onion and cashewnuts.
- Once onions are tender, add roasted rava to mixture. Stir. Add warm/boiling water to mixture slowly while stirring.
- Adjust taste with sugar and salt. Serve Sajjige hot with pickle.
