Odisha Chaat

Ingredients
- 1 cup Yellow Peas, soaked for 6-7 hrs
- 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 4 green chillis, choipped
- 2 medium size tomatoes- chopped
- 2 potatoes, boiled, pealed and cubed
- Some fried snacks as fillers (Papdi, sev, nimki, roasted peanuts)
- 1 tablespoon Grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- salt as per the taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Chat masala
- 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mint-coriander chutney
- Curd, whisked with little sugar
- Sweet tamarind chutney
Instructions
- Heat oil. Fry onions till soft. Add ginger, green chilli, and tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes are tender.
- Add boiled peas, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, black salt, amchur powder/ chat masala. Mix well.
- Add potatoes. Adjust taste with salt and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Serve along with chopped vegetables, fried snacks, tomato ketchup, tamarind chutney, mint coriander chutney and curd.
