Spicy fritters from lotus root

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lotus roots, peeled and cut into thin long strips
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon green chilly
  • 1/2 teaspoon black cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the rice flour, salt, chillies and cumin into the lotus root strips.
  2. Each strip should be coated well.
  3. Deep fry in oil on medium heat until nicely browned and crunchy
