Kada Chakka Achar
Kada chakka achar is an easy and tasty Kerala style instant pickle prepared with bread fruit. It is a great accompaniment to rice.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Kada chakka / bread fruit, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons Chilli powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Methi seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
- 5 Green chillies, crushed
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 cup Gingelly oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Methi seeds
- 2 Red chillies
Instructions
- Dry roast methi seeds and grind to fine powder. Keep aside.
- Marinate chopped kada chakka with salt for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil and fry mustard seeds, methi seeds, red chilli, asafetida powder, marinated kada chakka and chilli powder. Cook until kada chakka becomes tender.
- Add mustard powder, methi seed powder and crushed green chillies. Mix well.
- Serve Kada chakka achar with chappatis, rice or dosa.
