Chembin Thalu Curry
A traditional Kerala recipe prepared with Taro stems

Ingredients
- 2 cups Taro stem, chopped
- 1 cup Grated coconut
- 1 teaspoon Chilly powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 3 Shallots
- 3 teaspoons Tamarind juice
- Oil as required
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seed
- 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek seed
- Few Curry leaves
- 2 Dried chilly, crushed
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook taro stem by adding salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder and tamarind juice.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.
- Pour this seasoning over the curry.
- Serve Chembin thalu curry with rice.
