Dahi wali bhindi sabzi
Okra cooked in curd tomato gravy
Ingredients
- 250 grams Bhindi / okra cut into inch long pieces
- 1 cup Curd/ Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon mustard oil
- 1 cup Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
- 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
- 1 small black cardamom
- 2 petals of star anise
- 2 cloves
- 2 teaspoons fennel powder
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
Instructions
- Heat oil. Splutter cloves, anise, cardamom, chillies and ginger.
- Stir fry okra till slightly brown.
- Add tomatoes. Fry till tender. Add salt and powdered spices.
- Add curd. Mix. Bring to boil. Cook covered for few minutes.
- Serve Dahi wali bhindi sabzi hot with roti.
