Pacha Manga Rasam
Spicy and tangy soup made with raw mango

Ingredients
- 1 Raw mango, cut into small pieces
- 1 Tomato
- 2 teaspoons Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
- 1 Dried red chilli, broken
- 1 pinch Asafoetida
- Salt to taste
- Few Curry leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper corns
- 5 Garlic cloves
- 1/2 inch Ginger, chopped
- 1 Tamarind, lemon sized
- Jaggery, A small piece
- 3 Green chillies
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- Coriander leaves
Instructions
- Puree raw mango and tomato.
- Grind pepper corns, cumin seeds, garlic cloves, green chilli, and ginger into a coarse paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chilly and curry leaves.
- Add the ground paste and sauté well.
- Add turmeric powder, asafetida, red chilli powder along with the mango and tomato puree.
- Adjust taste with tamarind paste, salt, jaggery and boil for about 5 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve Pacha manga rasam hot.
