Batate Kosambari

Batate Kosambari is a simple and easy Konkani recipe using very few ingredients such as potato, coconut and tamarind. This chutney goes well with rice.

Ingredients

  • 3 boiled potatoes, medium sized peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut
  • 4 red chillies
  • Tamarind, as per taste
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Grind coconut, chillies, tamarind and salt to smooth paste with minimum water.
  2. Add potatoes and onions. Mix.
  3. Refrigerate and serve Batate Kosambari cold as side dish.
