Khotto / Hittu / Kadabu
Idli batter steamed in jackfruit leaves during festive occasions
Ingredients
- 250 grams Black gram Dal / urad dal, soaked for 2 hours
- 500 grams Rice rava
- 30 leaves of Jackfruit (4 per khotto)
Instructions
- Grind soaked urad dal and washed rice rava along with water to make batter
- Add salt and allow to ferment overnight
- Pour carefully batter in jackfruit leaves basket and steam for about 20 minutes till khotto is done
- Remove leaves and serve khotto hot along with chutney and sambhar
